Our place-based, community engagement network mobilizes collective investment from residents, community organizations and institutions to seed scalable and sustainable community change around child protection and promoting healthy social and emotional development in early childhood.
Vital Village is dedicated to promoting digital inclusion. We aim to create an online environment that is accessible and welcoming to all individuals, enabling everyone to engage independently and with respect. We are continuously working to identify and eliminate barriers and to align with recognized accessibility standards.
Vital Village follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 as a foundation for accessibility efforts. Accessibility is considered throughout the design and development process for all new tools and resources.
We regularly evaluate our website and features to align with WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards, making improvements wherever needed to meet or exceed these guidelines. Our review process includes both automated and manual testing methods, such as screen readers, voice input tools, zoom and magnification software, color contrast testing, keyboard-only navigation, and other assistive technologies.
