Recognizing the urgent need for change, we launched a “Housing Crisis” survey throughout Greater Boston during the summer of 2024. This effort was powered by the active involvement of diverse residents, who helped design, refine, and distribute the survey through virtual community workgroup meetings.

Recognizing the urgent need for change, we launched a “Housing Crisis” survey throughout Greater Boston during the summer of 2024. This effort was powered by the active involvement of diverse residents, who helped design, refine, and distribute the survey through virtual community workgroup meetings. Their voices and perspectives ensured the survey reflected real, lived experiences and urgent community needs.
But our work doesn’t stop at collecting data. We are committed to turning insights into participatory action research and action. The Community Data Ambassador Team and Community Data Workgroups regularly convene to discuss housing injustices across Massachusetts—addressing issues such as homelessness, displacement, and their impact on our most valued residents. Our approach is to listen deeply, share stories, and use data as a tool for advocacy and meaningful change.
We don’t just talk about the challenges—we co-create solutions. By fostering cross-collaboration and empowering community voices, we strive to advance housing justice for current and future generations. Our ongoing initiatives focus on tracking community priorities, uplifting shared stories, and building pathways to lasting, equitable housing solutions.
