De-identified patient level data (3-18 years old) illustrating obesity and hypertension cases in 2010
Data Sources and Measurement
De-identified, patient level data was obtained from the Massachusetts Health Disparities Repository (MHDR). This database contains clinical encounters and observations (recorded in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)) for all individuals receiving care coverage through the HealthNet insurance program, geocoded to the census tract of residence. Patients were aged 3 to 18 in 2010, and had at least one clinical encounter or observation in 2010 (N=10,871). This study was approved by the Boston University Institutional Review Board.
